Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced, formerly the Indian Institutes of Technology -Joint Entrance Examination, is an academic examination held annually in India.

- Age Limit: DoB Must be on or after 1st October 1995 (1990 for SC/ST/PWD)
- JEE Main Rank: Less than 2,50,000 (Only top 2,50,00 are Eligible)
- Maximum Number of Attempts: 2 per Candidate
- Qualifying Exam: Class 12 Board Examination or any Equivalent 2019 & 2020
- Year of Clearing Qualifying Exam: 2019 and 2020
- Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam: 75% aggregate (or) top 20 percentile of the respective board
- Other Requirements: Candidate not previously admitted in any 1
- Question Types: MCQs with single and multiple correct choices, Matching list questions, Numerical value questions.
- Questions with More than 1 Correct Option: Correct answer = +4; Partially correct = +3, +2, +1, Incorrect option selected = -2; Un attempted question = 0.
- Numerical Value Questions: Correct answer = +3, Incorrect answer Unattempted = 0
- Matching List and Single Correct Option: 0 Marks
- Cutoff: Determined by NTA based on available seats and average score. Cutoff for JEE advanced 2019 General category) was 89.75
